I’m Sydney Scout, and I’m running to make sure North Anchorage’s working families have a voice on the Assembly – one that fights for clean and affordable energy, better jobs, workforce infrastructure, and accessible & responsive government.
I’ve lived the challenges Anchorage families face: growing up here as the daughter of a mom who fought to keep me safe, building a life in this city as a first-time homeowner, and spending my career supporting local leaders and community organizations working to make change. I’ve spent years behind the scenes helping Alaskans organize, advocate, and win – now I’m ready to bring that experience to the Assembly and deliver for North Anchorage’s working families.

What’s the Assembly do? Where’s District 1?
The Anchorage Assembly serves as the legislative body for the Municipality of Anchorage, similar to a city council. Anchorage Assembly District 1 covers North Anchorage.
